build it or buy it? Buying a $20k plus bike does not make one a biker. Even riding a bike does not make one a biker. I was raised that being a biker was something earned like colors.PFM said:

Ive got two rigids choppers
ones an 05 custom with an 80" EVO 5 speed tranny
Other is an 05 Custom with a 76 shovel and orginial 4 speed tranny

There are some realy nice bikes here. I do agree with the comment that was said earlier, that buying a bike does not make a person a biker. I too have grown up around bikes and clubs. Don't get me wrong I look at it this way, As long as they are riding,...more power to ya ! I will try to get a pic on here later of my custom. Yes, it IS a true custom from the ground up. Not purchased off an assembly line. It's a hardtail with a 47 degree rake,16" over reverse springer front end. An Ultima 120 cu motor. That's 2000 cc to you rice burners. 6-speed tranny.

Agreed bud... I was the one who said that. I've ridden since '75. Have built/ restored over 20 bikes in my garage. Have an old belt driven Bridgeport milling machine. I have a '61 DuoGlide restored, a '48 project bike not built yet, a '93 stroked and bored chopper, and a '78 Triumph Bonnie that's bobbed. The trumpet is my wife's.All of the them are black. The chop and trumpet are flat black with very very littel chrome. As the saying goes... chrome won't get you home. I am not a biker. I do not live the outlaw life style. I do hang and ride with guys with patches in a 1% club. It's just not me at this point in my life.
