how long will 12 bottles last for open bar...

hey guys,

im throwin a party for about 250-300 people. if I were to buy 12 bottles of liquor for open bar, how long do you think thatll last? the bottles would be 750ml each.

6-7 minutes, tops.

not long at all. each drink is one shot, so that's 250 shots if each person has one liquor drink.

what about beer?

well not everyone that comes will be drinking. Also only so many drinks can be served in an hour...so not everyone who wants drinks will be able to get as many as they want. itll be at a club, and so once open bar is over, people can still buy drinks. Im not sure if I should buy a few kegs too. What do you guys think? I want open bar to last for about 2 hours.

BTW that's exactly 336 oz. so if you're a cheap ass and make drinks using only 1 oz. then your bottle will last less than I thought.

then get 24 bottles and dont use more than one oz. for each drink. Otherwise you're screwed.

who says all people will want hard liquor??
plus most people usually drink the same drink all night, so they don't get sick.

what if have the people want rum and cokes and you only have 2 bottles of rum?? you are fucked...

ur best bet is to buy like 5 kegs and then like 50 bottles of liquor. vodka, rum, whiskey, and some other common ones
ur gonna need a lot of OJ, soda, cranberry juice.

face it ur fucked...

well like i said its at a club. they already have a full stocked bar. im basically buying the bottles of alcohol thatll be provide for the 2 hours of open bar. all the stuff like OJ, soda, etc, will be provided by the bartenders. its ok if we run out a little bit early, people can still buy drinks on their own. im thking of getting 36 bottles and 2 kegs.

with some of the human sponges i have been known to associate with, perhaps a couple of hours, at the most.

buy the cheap stuff and put it in the good stuff bottles; after the first few drinks nobody will know the difference, anyway!
