How long is Xanax detectable?

the average time is 1 - 9 days, but some cases up to 21 days.factors like dosage, frequency of use, liquid consumption and metabolic characteristics all play a part.

that's true also. ^above^. If you took only one and have never taken it before or since, most likely it's out of your system within a few days..and if you are hooked on xanax, you better come off it slowly or you could risk having seizures :p

Well i'm not hooked on it but I use it to help me sleep sometimes. The most I take is 2mg. So it should prob get outta my system in a little over a week if I increase the cardio and fluid intake?

u got a drug test coming up for a job or something?

Well i might as well just come out and say it. It's a urine toxicology to get into a police academy. Its a little hard to be on both sides of the system if you get what i'm saying.

I'm not sure if it would matter if the xanax shows up or not since I do have a script for it. I just dont want to mess anything up over somethin I dont really need to take.

being on drug tests, weekly. I do know that immunoassay (sp?) drug tests can detect benzo's for upto 2 weeks with moderate usage... just fyi

Try to get a script if you don't have one.
Or better yet.... drop the xanax all together.
I know it helps with stress and sleep. It's very effective.
But that shit is waaaaay addictive.

^^^^^^^

go to doc. tell them you have anxiety, mild or whatever, get something else, they'll give you other options. Don't get caught with something like xanax you could get a script for and i'm sure get for less than co pay

Wow. Well i stop taking them for wks at a time and then only go back to them when the stress gets too much. As I said before, I DO have a script so thats why I'm not too worried.

I'm just not sure how a person with anxiety woud be looked at when it comes to being involved in a high stress job.

2 mg is low dosage, how often and for how long? if you've been taking them for over a month, benzo's average is detection time is 2 weeks.

Well over the past month is when I've actually been on them the most. I was taking 2mg about 3-4 times a wk. I guess i'm goin to just give them up for 2 solid wks, increase the cardio and fluids and hope for the best. I can schedule the drug test anytime from now until july so that isnt a big concern.

get some clonopin. I've had both, or everything lol, and know that the clons are waaaay better. Xanax is VERY fast acting short half life. Clons are the same cept much longer half life. They are addicting though too, I'll admit.

Haha well thanks for the input but I don't really think that helps my situation any. If anything, thats the opposite of what I need.

If you have a script, the academy wont care. You can say that you are a night owl and sometimes have a difficult time getting to sleep and your doctor prescribed them to you to use as needed. You only need them occasionally and it is your script so that is that. If you become a cop or corrections or whatever, there is a good chance that you will have to work diff shifts and guess what,,,, you might have trouble winding down and getting to sleep. I know a few correction guys and some police and all drink like fish and a few are on depression meds and anti anxiety meds. It is standard measure. I would just be up front about it if you want my opinion.

Xanax CAN be addictive. There is a huge misconception that EVERYONE that takes it more than a minute is going to be hooked for life. I know about 20 people personally tha are on it, about 2 hooked like a fish and the other 18 occasional users for help with anxiety and or sleep. There are a few that use it socially with a few drinks. If someone has an addictive personality, chances are you can and will become addicted to the Xanax. It is no different that gear, if someone is an asshole before gear, they will be a bigger asshole on gear and keep the "roid rage" theory around. Good luck !

There are only two drugs that can KILL you from withdrawl, cold turkey:

1. ALCOHOL

2. Benzodiazepines

That's no lie!

Another gift from the Devil I keep seeing around her... is Vicodin / Percocet. Hyrdocodone/ Oxycodone.

All shit and giggles for 6 months, a year, maybe more....

Then the hook gets set and you are a full blown pill poppin addict who CAN NOT function without it. LIVING HELL.

FUCK detectable. Just don't take the shit recreationally. OR you could DIE!

It may show in your urine in trace amounts for several weeks.
If you have a prescription, then mention it on your testing questionaire.
If a doctor prescribed it for you, it is perfectly legal prescription medicine. Xanax is an FDA approved medicine, and not an illegal drug like cocaine etc.

I know many people who were taking similar medicines by doctor's prescription and had no problems with drug testing.
Even if your prescription is a few months old, you can say that you take it once in a while.
If you do have a prescription, make sure that you mention it in the list of medicines that you take. If you don't mention it in advance, and the test comes back positive, that would make it look suspicious.
Many people try to get a doctor's prescription AFTER their test comes back positive.

How does that work out?

Damn I guess I had it mixed up with overdosing. Anyone know if suboxone gives you a good buzz

they help you come off of opiates they block out the opiates in ur body somehow but give u a high like u took an opiate...they are similiar to methadone but i dont think as strong.....you dont pop them you actually put them under ur tongue and they dissolve

I take them on a monthly basis and have never had a problem with the affects of addiction. It's all about management and knowing when you actually need them.
