How long for a protein shake to convert to...

Say you take a protein drink post workout...
How long "generally" after consumption does it take prior to the sugars being converted to gycogen and start refilling muscle and liver glycogen levels?
Thanks everyone!

You're taking in protein post workout; the time it takes protein to convert into glucose varies for everyone, there is no one answer for either.

I realize the timing will vary from person to person, but is there a rough estimate...
If you were to train, then slam a protein shake, then do 20 minutes of cardio immediately.. would your liver and muscle glycogen begin recovering while doing cardio or post cardio?
What type of time frame is typical.. 20 minutes? half an hour?

Thanks for the help

mr x are you saying there are different durations for every single individual or just for certain body types?

I've wondered this as well, especially since sometimes I do up to 30 minutes or more cardio post workout.

I would assume that the dietary protein intake would be used as a caloric source during the activity. I would also guess it would be w/in 20min.

MR.X , You wouldn't have any sources, or studies about this that I could take a look at would you?
Thanks again!
