How long does milk and bread last in your house?

I'm single and eat out frequently.

I'd say 1/2 gallon milk and a loaf of bread last about 5-6 days.

At home, my family goes through bread pretty quickly (my sisters take sandwiches to school for lunch a lot). I don't know about milk, but not too quickly, I don't think - I don't think anyone in my family drinks glasses of milk too often, it's usually just put in tea, coffee, etc.

When I'm on my own, bread and milk last forever. I don't eat slices of bread often. Once in a while I'll buy a bag of bread, but I usually end up throwing out a lot of it when I don't finish it.

I don't eat either because I'm trying to get lean. But when I do I go through gal a milk and two loaves of bread every week (and that's with moderation. I could honestly drink a gal everyday and eat 15-20 sandwiches everyday plus my normal meals. 5k cals is laughable to how much I can eat.)
