I know HUCK is the Var GURU and I respect his comment in this thread; BUT-----I think most would say 2-3 weeks is a pretty typical time frame to experience the effects from Var. I have read posts that even say 4 weeks until noticed.

I'm NOT disputing Huck-----just making a conservative comment so you don't get discouraged in the event you don't feel anything at 5 days!!!

Depends on what you mean by 'kick in.' You should notice strength gains almost immediately (asin the oft quoted 4-5 days). But, that's probably extra vascularity from being jacked up on var, not muscle gains you would keep if you stopped there. The 'real' gains start in week 2 or week 3 though some say it took as long as 4 weeks before they 'noticed' anything.

Highly personal and perhaps subjective as to what constitutes progress.

I did 25mg 3 weeks then bumped it to 40mg for 4 weeks. The gains on 40mg ed were quicker and more dramatic but 25mg ed wasn't bad either. It wasn't like I entered a whole new universe at 40mg. Next 'cycle' I will probably do 25mg ed for 6 weeks and just consider it a training supp to help me achieve yearly goals.

Stats (before): 188lb 6'1
Stats (after): 200lb 6'1

Noticeably leaner but don't have bodyfat % stats. Went from a slightly slobby 188 to a 'can see my abs' 200. Not posterboy ripped and cut, but more improvement than I thought possible. Really helps you pull things together, assuming lots of protein and reasonable training.

I was very surprised by the bump in scale weight, which started about the end of the second week. Twas my first 'cycle.'

my var just came in today and i took 20mg. this is the first time i have used any type of gear. i am 160 pounds about 8-10 % bodyfat. do u think its a good idea to wait a week before i up the dose?
