I have a problem with switching my diet like every week or so b/c I don't seem to getting the results I hope for. Is this too soon to give up on a diet, or do y'all think that this is sufficient time to assess how it's working? What do y'all do when you're trying something new, how long do you give it?

If the diet is working you should lose at least 1-2 lbs of fat a week. So it'll be a few weeks before you'll notice any difference. 1 week, is definetly too soon to tell.

yeah i agree, 1 week is way too early. i usually really dont ditch diets as i have only erally followed the basic diets with cal deficit and cal surplus and diff macronutreint ratios to cut/gain weight, though i am gonna try ckd or crums diet and i guess that would be a little more advanced so i would prolly give any diet a month b4 giving up on it.

what if your on a diet that has worked well for a month..like 20-25 pounds in weight loss..and now your not seeing the resluts anymore? would you change it or give your body more time to work off the remaining fat?

I would refeed and then drop calories more. You are now at a lower body weight and do not require as many calories to maintain. For example:

If you origionally weighed 200
to find your cals you maybe multiplied your BW by 12 so you would be taking in 2400 cals

now you weigh 180 so on this diet you would only need 2160 now (180*12=2160).
