How is the sites performance today?

We did a lot of work on our database last night. We are trying to solve the problem where the site slows for a minute or so then gets fast again.

It would be helpful to us if you could let me know how you are perceiving the sites performance today compared with yesterday - especially this afternoon when traffic is greatest. I would like to hear from both Platinum Members and Regular Members too.

It seems better but I usually get the slowdown around 4pm EDT so I'll let ya know then. Once it slows down, I can't even get on though. Site seems ok right now

I agree - between 3 and 5pm eastern is the worst - that is also when traffic is highest.

i'm on 100 mbs cable and it's still slow. not much better than yesterday. i was on dial up last nite around midnite cst and i couldn't even get a page to load. this site is unbearable on dial up. and i'm not searching usually, just trying to open threads

haven't noticed much of an improvement

Yesterday the board was very slow, but today its running very fast, and have had no lags or problems of any type as of yet. Good work George.

I keep getting hung up here & there......I've had a few pages today (threads) where the page never fully loaded......HOWEVER, it wasn't as bad as last night when I got so frustrated I shut my computer down 3 times...I have a cable modem, if that helps...

It's still a bit slow when openings threads. I click on a thread and I will get a blank (white) screen for about 15 secs. before the thread loads.

Better than yesterday though. Yesterday, I could click on a thread go get a cup of coffee, piss and come back to my desk and I'd still have about 30 secs. before the thread loaded.

Kind of sucks today. Pages take forever to load and sometimes the pages go nowhere. I'm on DSL too.

I've been reading threads off and on all day between other endevors and it has as of yet for it to take more than 2 seconds for any page to completely load, or my posts to post up. So the board is performing exceptionally well today for me. I am hooked into a T1 network though. Not sure if that matters.
