There is nothing hypocritical about telling your child that abstinance is there best safe guard however if they choose to be sexualy active then they need to be on birth control.

LOL....I'm sure that crosses his mind. My buddy isn't the brightest.....his remark had me thinking about the extremes some parents may go through.

There are other things:
What happens when she wants to go on BC and doesn’t tell her father because they don’t talk about that stuff, so goes to the docs herself and ends up on a double dose...
What happens when she goes to a doctor and / or accident and emergency and they ask "are you on any medication" and she says no. What will the consequences be when they give her drugs that might have a bad reaction with the BC?
