how hard is it to drop 10% bf?!?!?!?!?!

considering one was working out 4 times a week, 30 min cardio after work outs and a really good diet? months? a year?
vic

Everyone is different someone could drop that in 3 months, some 6, some a year....It alldepends on the individual...I havet dropped 10% so I couldnt tell u what it took me...but im sure most people will give u the same answer as i did.

HUH? Depends on many things....can you go from 15% to 5%, prob. not. The pain and dedication is overpowering for most. Now, can you go from 30% to 20%, pretty easily with just a clean diet!

Well, how bad do you want it?

It all depends on where you're starting from and how you plan on getting to the destination, with making the proper adjustments along the way.

I had a good base, an unyielding drive and was 110% dedicated ... my results speak for themselves.

So for ME, it was not hard, and in 12.5 weeks I was able to drop 15% bf during my first cutting phase... and over the next 4 months, dropped even further ... ( OF COURSE those figures are open to scrutiny given the debatable subject regarding methods of body fat testing etc... BUT if you want #'s, there ya go)

I would like to see what you think a 'really good diet' would consist of as well.

.... hope im the kind that it only takes 3 months to then. will find out in a couple of months.

you get educated and have your diet in check, workout hard and consistently but not too much and rest enough, you will have some VERY noticeable fat loss in 3 months. screw numbers 10% is arbitrary if you are 30% bf right now going from 30 to 20% don't be anywhere near as impressive as a before pic and an after pic
same with 20 to 10
but that doesn't mean those pics won't look just as good if you end up going from 30 to 22

What are your current stats? If your 200 lbs. 20% bodyfat and want to get down to 10%, that's a 20 pound loss in bodyfat. If you set a goal on losing 1-2 lbs. per week it can be acheived in 2.5-5 months. It will vary by the individual.

ok guys, here goes. my stats are: im 200 lb 6'0-6'1 dunno. and i dont know what bf i am. im guessing im at 20%. some guy at the gym, which i was asking about bulking, told me i look like 14%, but i really doubt it. im currently bulking, so this is kinda my diet, although im gonna be adding more protein since i was told to do so. maybe get like 40-50g of protein per meal. might add carbs, but ill do it after i get myself some glucorell to keep the fat away. thanx guys.

meal 1. (try to eat most carbs early in the day)
1bagel
1 cup of oatmeal w/ milk + crushed flax seeds.
4oz. turkey
2 full eggs.

meal 2. (if at work, protein bar.)
1-2 cups of wheat pasta or 2 slice of wheat bread
2 cans of tuna
2 tbs of olive oil.

meal 3.
6-8oz chicken
1 cup brown rice
some olive oil

meal 4. (an hour before work out)
CARBS!
wheat pasta or brown rice
maybe slice of bread
2 cans tuna or 1/2lb ground turkey 97% lean or chicken breast

meal 5.
post work out shake. (mixed in a liter of water.)
50g protein
50-70g dextrose.
i drink half immediatly, and then try to sip the rest for as long as i can (30-40min)
20 min after drinking half, i take 10-15g of l-glutamine

meal 6 (45-60 min after finishing shake)
6-8oz chicken breast.
some veggies (aprox 2 cups) or a wheat wrap or a sweet potato.

if i didnt get all 200+g of protein during the day, i take a shake before bed. that consists of 30-50 g of protein, 8oz 2% milk and 1 tbs PB. the diet varies a little, but i try to keep as close to this as possible. thanx again guys!

the first week it was hard to eat so much, but now im getting used to it. i can defenetly keep it up for 4 months. cutting though, i know will be a bitch!

mr.x what do u think?

thanx for taking the time guys, i apreciate it.

I just wanted to add that burning BF is dependent on what amount of lean body mass you are working with(more muscle=more cals burned/higher BMR). This FACT OF LIFE always makes me mad....only b/c Men drop fat so f-ing easy while Im busting my a$$ for hours/day. I wont even get into diet...only b.c my boyfriend manages to cheat all the time and still has a 6pack....its a different story for me :mix:

Just like bunny said..."HOW BAD DO YOU WANT IT??"

-Good luck...lift heavy...train hard..eat clean...and before you know it...you'll be LEAN :)

thanx. also, now that i think about it. im no drinking enough water... i know this is bad, but how bad is it?

It helps your body to lean out by getting rid of water, and also help your organs function better because they can focus on fat burning instead of cleaning out the waste.

My point is, I personally can do cardio all day every day (& heck, eat once if i wanted ... I've done it before I smartened up...) ... I am NOT going to see my ab veins or drop to single digits in BF if my diet is not SPOT on ... processed junk thrown OUT & clean eating ... all I was, was skinny fat.

agreed

it also depends on what 10%... 30 to 20? 15 to 5? The difference is from heaven to earth.

Check this out. That is almost 20% in 11 months
