How good/bad is Eli Manning?

I haven't really followed him much this year.

Is it his fault the Giants are fucking up, or is he not getting much help?
 
He's certainly not helping matters this year. But the problems extend much farther than him. His QB rating right now is just over 80, which although not amazing, is certainly not terrible.

At 7-7 the Giants can pretty much kiss their chances good bye unless they win the last two and get a lot of luck.
 
I dont know, it seems like even the really good players are hit or miss these days. Consistency seems to be lacking across the league.

Well, Ladanian Tomlinson seems to be a sure thing kind of guy. Moreso than others. You guys think he'll pull MVP? Looks like Drew Brees isnt up to snuff after losing to the redskins (wtf was that anyway).

i rather see the saints win cause they have a better chance going deeper into the playoffs. i can't stand the rest of the nfc.

new orleans or chicago will represent the NFC
with the younger NO team with guts and a better QB
having a decent chance to win in chicago
AFC is whether cincy/Indy can outscore san diego

it's a league called the NFL
the top to bottom talent is so evenly distributed
it takes a genious coach with a genious talented QB to generate a dynasty
new england
even hangin' on with a solid 10-4 record when most dynasties would be cracked and broken

new orleans' has the guts
young team that had to gel in a year which they had no home
this year was just adding the fine parts
they went into fuckin' dallas and absolutely manhandled a peaking dallas team
Joe Gibbs brought his washington team into new orleans and administered a little wake-up call
the young coach of new orleans got learned a lesson by a genious
kind of a tip of the hat
 
so he's smirking beating a king such as Parcells on his own turf
so old guy Gibbs brings his weaker team to town and they outplay the more talanted NO team
NO is done with lessons
they got it now

I follow his team
he's doing a fine job in the NFL
but sometimes the pros have to put him in his place
Gibbs came to town when new orleans was sky high
I think this guy gets the message

ALso Tiki Barber said it best that the Giants have been abandoning the running game. This is the other reason he is having trouble because thier offense is emphasizing pass and the defenses have caught onto this. Then the defenses start dropping more DB's back in coverage

This part of it is totally not his fault

he is getting worse and not better. we are not seeing any improvement at all from him. when he had plaxico, toomer, and shockey, plus tiki to throw to, he still wasn't doing shit. plus he has carter as a fifth option. he is an ok receiver. he has more than enough weapons. moss, one day might turn out to be a good receiver too but we will never find out because he is only 5'8" and he can't connect with him. eli overthrows everybody including plaxico (6'5") more often than not.

when he was coming out of college according to scouts was that he had accuracy problems. well he has that problem and alot more. if next year we don't see any major improvement than it's time to get rid of him for sure and salvage what we have left.


i wonder if we can make a trade with the chargers. :lmao:

my brother and his wife just moved to tallahasee earlier this year from the DC area of northern virginia
 
i can't believe the ny giants are still in the playoffs. if we beat the redskins and i hope we don't then we can go onto humilate ourselves some more when elf manning throws at least 3 INT's for everybody to see. i can see his twit father making up the excuses in his head already.

yeah, the defense does a great job when our receivers are wide open and elf manning misses by a mile and manages to sail the ball way over their heads into the DB's hands. yeah, great job the other team's defense.

this is 2006-2007 and with the NFL at his current state, no team can wait 4-5 years for a QB to become good. with their salaries and a hard salary cap in the NFL, they better be performing from the start.
