How does a car help pick up chicks?

I hear guys all the time saying how this or that car is great for picking up women how it can get you laid and I understand the gist of it but the way I see it besides a nice ride you need nice threads, a nice appartment/house, a lotta cash etc. But do you guys mean that just a nice car can do that? Please, how? I drive a pretty nice sportscar, but Ive never picked up a chick with it. Does this involve "cruising down the block" and letting chics hop in? Or do you tell her you have a nice car when in a bar? Im not joking, please tell me how this works, or if its just something guys like to say. I mean, Ive said many a time that such and such a car can get you laid, but I dont know how exactly...

Well to tell you the truth I have had more hotties when I had NO car and was pretty much down and out than the times I have had new cars that were hooked up. Having a nice car helps your confidence and makes you appear successful which is nice and attracts women but honestly it really dosen't matter that much. Your ride can play a HUGE role in picking up chicks if you are really young. People always tell me that the reason I got pussy in high school was because of my ride. I really didn't care what the reason was, I was happy that I was getting some ass.

As you get older, the only chicks it will directly pull for you are golddiggers.

On a good note, I think that the ride just helps you attract the attention of the chick, and then you take it from there. The ride is not the reason for your getting the chick, it just help set things in motion.

As fucked up as it sounds, there are classes in todays society. A car is one of many attributes that helps to define you... are you in a big raised 4x4 truck? How about a tricked out integra? Maybe just a modest Civic or corolla? Or maybe you roll in a BMW or better?

It is wrong that having one of those vehicles may make someone more attracted to you inititally? What if it was your teeth? Smile? clothes?

Your car is a reflection of yourself.. Its not something that DEFINES you..but its part of "who you are" in a way.

Let me relate a real life story..

I went to LA the other weekend and I wanted my buddy to drive.. he has an older pickup truck he uses for work.. camper shell.. grey.. looks like a work truck.

I have a semi-sports coupe... nice rims.. etc...

we ened up taking my car.

On the way home the traffic on the freeway was literally stopped for an hour or so...

A car with 5 girls creeps past us.. I look over and 3 out of 5 of them are looking back at my friend and I...

I zig zag a bit and end up next to them and they all look over and smile.. I roll down my window and so do they..

traffic is so slow I was able to ask where they were going (La Jolla) same place I was... I asked if I could get a cell #.. two girls start rattling off numbers.. i had to have them slow down so I could get them straight...

I shout out mine and get a call a few minutes later.. we pull off at a gas station and hang out..start talking...

They are all in college.. on a little end of summer vacation.. renting out a condo down at the beach... meeting 4 other girls down there........... so 9 college age girls total... 2 guys.. how sweet is that?

We agree to touch base later.. they call say come hang out and bring your friends!


So on the way home my friend says to me.. "Dude the odds of that happening in my truck.. are ZERO"

and he is true..we would never had gotten the initial looks if we were rolling in some shitty truck...

I used to get that same attention when I rode my Harley. Some of the women were genuinely interested in Harley's and they were cool. Others just wanted their friends to see them on a bike, the rebel image and all.

I still liked the look on the face of this one woman who asked me out to lunch. Her jaw just dropped to the floor when I showed up in front of her office........in my truck, and all her friends were looking out the window.
