How do you get enough protein??

I have been trying to get my diet up to where it should be but how in the hell do you guys get enough protein in a day. From what I've read, to do it right you need about 2g of protein / lb. body weight. That makes 480g / day for me.

Thats a lot of meat, whey, soy, beans, milk etc.. in a day considering the most concentrated protein food is only about 23% protein.

If I drink too many whey shakes I get the shits somethin' crazy and dehydrate (is that normal) :worried:

How do you guys fit it all in?

Any advice.
 
Soy? Whatever you do, stay away from Soy.

Like most people, I consume some form of protein with every meal... that makes it 7 to 8 meals a day.

Meal 1 - 6-10 egg whites
Meal 2 - Whey shake
Meal 3 - Chicken breast or steak
Meal 4 - Whey casein blend (2:1 ratio)
Meal 5 - Tuna or chicken breast
Meal 6 - Steak
Meal 7 - Casein shake

Thats more than enough protein.

As for the dehydration, I've never really had that problem. Sounds unusual to me.

man i drink like 4 40-50 gram protein shakes a day on top of all the eggs chicken meat etc.....i dont know how anyone could get enough protein without shakes.....i always felt sick too from drinkin so many shakes until i started using muscle milk powder.....that stuff tastes great and it fills you up
 
I'm trying for low carb high protein but it looks something like this almost every day.

Note: I work 3PM to midnight

9:30 AM -
500ml glass of milk
1 thick slice cheddar cheese
1 large apple
Slice of toast and pb

11AM
500ml Glass of milk
protein bar
2 hard boiled eggs

12noon
protein shake double dose 45g
multi vit, supps
cup black coffee

12:30PM to 2PM
Workout
5 days a week
alternate upper body and lower w/back
20min cardio warmup HR at 145bpm
cooldown - walk the dog - eat a large apple as I walk

2:30PM
Protein shake double dose - 45g

Work at 3PM - drink about a gallon of water during 8 hour shift

4PM
can of chunk light tuna

6:30PM
500ml glass of milk
meat - pork chop or 2 chicken thighs or steak
1 cup brown and wild rice mix
1 cup green beans
Protein shake double dose 45g

7:30 to 12:30AM - only protein bar

1AM
dry shreddies
500 ml glass of grapefruit juice

2AM
Bed - 3mg melatonin and sleep like a baby

9AM wake
