How do you "fix" your credit?

I know its not the most ethical thing in the world, but how is the best way to fix your credit? Preferably legally but I am open to other options. lol. I know I cant make it perfect, but is there a way to quickly improve it some. My credit score is currently around 620.

Where do you live? My sister owns a credit repair buisiness in Houston. BTW, if you knew how to fix your credit, you could go into business yourself. The odds of anyone on this board knowing how to do it, and actually sharing the information with you is slim to none, and alot closer to none than slim.

I know people`s credits that were high who had Credit Card bills,That when they were payed off. It took 2-4 months and their credit scores increased dramatically.

People who have that type of information charge for it. You aren't going to get it for free. My own sister won't give me the information, and I've actually gone to her office to help her with stuff, but the details were kept very secrative. It is strictly a trade-secret that thos into the business do not reveal. You're going to have to go to a debt resolutin agency.

why wouldnt they post the information? im in a similar spot myself. im thinking of looking for a second job to pay off my debt. the only options i've found is going to a finacial place and asking for a loan- that'll erase all but one interest rate

there aren't any "trade secrets"

LOL....al those agencies do is show pwoplw how to consolidate bills and usually save money on finance charges.


If you have any unpaid debts (not loans...bills you defaulted on) that show up, call the creditor and ask if they will remove it form the report upon payment, Many will. That's about as "trade secret" as it gets.

Some lenders will do that if you pay a loan off as well - they will remove late payments.

Other than that, pay off as much as you can.



Shady alteratives: find out how your creditors report to the bureeaus, and contact the bureaus posing as a creditor. Say there was an error and you want to correct it. This will only work once. Choose wisely, put nothing in writing or email.

There is no secret as far as i am aware off, side from paying off the depts and having them removed from your credit report. You could also wait 7 years and have it removed from your credit that way.
