How do you deal with stress?

I don't drink or use any drugs so thats not an option. But man between my 2 jobs now and the family and all the drama at work and NO vacation days to use, I am begining to about lose my mind. I hate to be a whiner but this is getting OLD and there is no end in sight. So how do you guys deal with stress? How do you get over these type of mountains. Thanks.

that has always been my view but over the past few months, I am so distracted, irritated and mentally and physically drained all the time, my workouts suck if I even make it to the gym.
 
Take a weekend away from the fam in a nice hotel. Order room service, watch a movie, use the gym, sleep in.

Next month its your wife's turn.

I would do that but I can't afford it and don't have the time for a vacation with 2 jobs. That does sound like a great idea....I wish I could. I think about a 2 day soak in aohtub somewhere and a bottle of jack would do the trick. Honestly though alcohol doesn't do anything for me but make me hung over. Thanks for the replies guys.
 
I think I deal with it by just accepting that it's there and there's nothing that I can do about it. It sometimes makes me laugh when there's so much on my plate and then something happens or something goes wrong and my workload goes up again - like this is just rediculous what else could possibly go wrong?! Just accepting that it's a fact of life, sometimes it's worse than others but it's always going to be there, it sucks but that's life seems best.

I find it comes in cycles but there's always positives that can be found if you just accept the negatives as out of your control. It's when you dwell on them that you start feeling down.
 
I have always been the type of guy that just pulls myself up by my bootstraps and goes on even though it is rough, but lately, I am growing so tired of trying. It's like why pull myself up when I will just get knocked down even harder again the next time. UGH. I know that makes me sound like a whiner, I don't meant to be, but you guys know what I mean. Even sex doesn't help if you can beleive that.

I desire to be left alone more and more these days, is that normal the older one gets or is that a sign of me handling this stress the wrong way?
 
K to you all....I like to sleep but have to take some sort of oill to get just enough. I may take more to get about 14 hours of it. I sure would like that.

yep it works.

get a heavy bag and beat the shit outta it for about 20 min and you are stress free.

If I didn't do this daily, I'd prabably have killed somebody by now.

Exactly! Most higher primates produce much more Vitamin C to compensate - but we lost our ability and without a doubt lots of Vit C helps. (the primates produce 5-10 GRAMS per day just to exist, if they stress that goes way up. I take 3 grams per day atm, and my workout recovery time has reduced extraordinarily!).
