How do I stop craving food?

How do I stop craving food? Say I eat a big dinner and then I walk into the kitchen and see the cereal box sitting there.. or some granola bars. I'm already full but I want to eat eat eat and eat some more.. how the hell do I stop this? its getting ridiculous. Everyday I eat until my stomach hurts... even if its just vegetables. but I cant stop until it hurts. I'll eat a meal and 30 mins later I'm back in the kitchen.. What should i do?

Willpower. just stop overeating. simple as that. Set your diet up daily the way you want, and don't eat anymore than you;re supposed to.

You can maybe get away with taking some ECA to blunt your hunger, that's about it.

5-HTP could also help

but supplements are not the answer

food craving is both a psychological and a physiological response to a number of triggers. too deep of a subject to get in precise details but a few guidelines that should help:

1) don't deprive your body of carbs, fat, and proteins. 33/33/33 is a good approach to battle cravings.
2) drink a LOT of water as a thirst mechanism (strangely enough) sends a false "hunger" signal to the brain when if fact all you need is water.
3) dont ignore the cravings, so if you really feel like a bar of snickers then go for it and just keep the rest of the day super clean.

MODERATION is the soloution for a lot of folks.
personally, i'm an extremist and can threshold is much stronger when it comes to diet and nutrition but i find that most people cannot handle an "extreme" approach as it's simply too hard.

lots of luck dude;)

I agree with akaba ...eat often every 2 hours some small and good nutrition meal with a cup or two water

drink alot of water, up to 1 ounce per pound of bodyweight, 5htp also helps... also just think of it this way.... you aren't going to die if you don't eat (not going to starve to death), just cut back on serving size and be a man.

Here is also a good diet trick... 30 minutes prior to eating, soak one piece of 100% whole wheat bread in a little bit of olive oil and eat it... then by 30 minutes later it will take you less food to fill u up... ( I used to do this with salads all the time).

Seems like your main concern is not what can you do to fill you up or keep you satisfied, but how can you stop when you are already full right? So, look into why you are turning to food when you aren't hungry. Are you bored, sad, stressed, or maybe you have a reaction to carbohydrates. I've read a lot about that too, concerning people that binge due to the content of what they are eating. This is tough to battle, just keep yourself occupied after you have eaten what you decide beforehand on a meal plan, and write down what you eat. This might help your willpower.
