How do i open a dat file?

I thought you were not suppose to open those things.

Or you could change the extension to .txt and open it in notepad. I don't know.

It's depends. DAT files can be diferent things. If it's video I know Zoom Player can open it.

DAT. files can be anything. If its a video or a MP3 then try various media players. Right click and "open with". If its a text file or anything else, try the appropriate program you think will open it.
