How can people protest our war effort?

I live in a large college town, and since we started our attacks there have been protestors around town. They believe we are wrong to attack them. Are these people sick? I take shit like that (terrorist attack) extremely personally, which most people dont seem to do. Think about it. These people want to kill americans. My sister is an american, my mom is an american. Can you imagine someone trying to kill your sister, or your mother screaming in terror as her plane goes down? How horrible a thought. I would fight till my last breathe to give my family the abilitly to live an unthreated and safe existance. I like the idea of people being able to wake up and go about there business with no worries about there safety. That is America.

Opposing escalation of an armed conflict is not an endorsement of killing Americans. People in the peace movment, right or wrong, wish to find alternative solutions. There's no rational basis for the argument that peaceniks want your sister dead.

The ones today are professional rabble rousers who show up on everybody's lawn to start shit for whatever today's cause is.

Anyways watching this shit unfold on tv I started thinking. How come I don't see one person in this crowd who looks homeless or starving?
And then I was thinking again. How come these people can put so much effort into this yet not put any effort into finding a job(any job) and pay taxes so the real "poor" can be helped out because these dildo's who are capable of working are leaving and putting money into the system that helps those who actually need it.

Anyways you can give these special interest groups whatever they want 10 fold including money for the cause and they would still find something else to bitch about so fuck em. If they get a nightstick upside the head I say good.

There are those who sit on high in righteous indignation. They oppose war no matter the circumstances. They don't believe anything is worth fighting for. They sit on their podiums under the blanket of freedom that fighting Americans have provided them, and try to tell the world that "war is not the answer." They don't accept the fact that evil does exist in the world, that sometimes you have to fight for what you believe in, to protect yourself.

I think we in America believe that war is an absolute last resort, but is sometimes necessary. If this isn't one of those situations, I'd love to ask one of those protesters what is.

How about something like this: Members of a multicultural society that values freedom of expression and dissent. There are many Americans with many opinions about how conflict should be resolved.

Yes, exactly, Warik. I make the point that people can have different points of view about conflict resolution and, of course, that must ACTUALLY mean I personally disfavor solutions involving fighting.

I'll repeat myself. Every American I know opposes Osama's action and the Taliban regime. Not all Americans agree on the way to disempower the Taliban. That doesn't make them less American.
