How can a spirit function without a body?

when you are sad it that not just some hormonal imbalance?
when you are excited it that from adrenalin?
When you are really happy dopamine?
seems everything in ran by chemical signals, correct?
I mean you have to agree some people feel better while on drugs.
so if your spirit leaves your body what does it run on? what makes it happy what makes it sad? all of the commands were coming from the body and now it is gone. Wouldn’t the spirit be emotionless? no feelings but wait don’t we store our thoughts and memories in our brain the spirit left this behind to? Hummmm

kinda makes you think the body has a purpose and with out it we would be no more.

The way I understand it, we really don't have much control over our spirit.

Our soul is our thoughts, emotions, feelings (makes up our personality) and it is/can be influenced by our physical (drugs/booze/stress,etc).

Likewise, the soul affects the spirit...

IOW, Having a 'good soul' leads to having 'good spirit'...
