how accurate are those calipers?

I did have a body fat testing at the gym and I was wondering how accurate are those calipers..

I am 6'1'' and around 210 lb....body fat was 15%...

My daughter found my calipers last night and I had her test my bodyfat. It came out to 4%.

She's only 18 months, but I think she did a good job.

They are pretty good, but like MsBeverlyHills showed us, give or take 3-5%.

Also, keep in mind there are different methods for their use. In general, the skinfold sites you measure the better. The actual technician taking the measurements can have a big impact on the outcome.

They can be very accurate, if done first thing in the morning, on an empty stomach, by 2 professionals, twice.
