the heat on the other hand, you can jump in a nice cool pool to cool down or just go inside in the ac.

It's not really that simple. Should I assume that I'm going to be relocated to somewhere with the chosen temperature or that the world is somehow going to change to accomodate my wishes at my current location?
If the former, would I get to choose the location I'd like to be at or would I just get dumped at the hottest or coldest place on the planet.
If the latter, I need to think about the consequences to the rest of the planet. Would the planet rotate into a new position to accomodate my chosen temperature or would the whole planet change temperature.
Should we also assume that the intent of your question is that the 'extremes' you refer to are merely extremes within my own habitable capacity, extremes within any human's capacity to survive, global maximal or minimal temperatures or, maybe you're referring to absolute zero and some temperature high enough to disrupt space time?
You've given us a lot to think about with this thread.

EXTREME COLD, with conditions.
If it is Extreme HOT, naked is naked so you are screwed. Remove all AC and other cooling functions, naked is naked and it is f'n HOT.
Now cold, remove heat and most other things, I can still dress warm and survive. I may be uncomfortable at times, but provided I have enough clothes, I can stay relatively warm. Add a good woman to the mix, and we can make our own HEAT! Oh yeah baby !

I prefer it cold....I HATE being hot & sticky & too sweaty for too long....YUCK!!

Hot. I'm very uncomfortable in my own home during the winter months in West Virginia. How would I survive though real, extreme cold?
