hormone testing (Through the mail)

New member
I remember reading a post by George Spellwin that mentioned a company that tested thyroid hormone, testosterone, etc through the mail with out a script. Can someone please tell me about this company( name web address etc)?

This information was in a e-mail from the administrator. I guess it was a news letter or something. He was saying that of course testosterone levels should be checked befor and after a cycle to assure return to normal levels. He then recommended this company that checks hormone levels in saliva through the mail. I am not sure about the accuracy of saliva tests, but I am sure they are better than nothing. I must have deleated the e-mail because I cant find it. I tried a search on the site but can't locate it. I just realized it migh be in my other e-mail account. I guess I will check that. Any info on this company will ba appreciated though.

Bro
I'd think twice about the saliva tests. I used to use them some in my practice, but I found sometimes, for example, a woman would show twice normal test levels, and then follow up blood would be flat normal. A lot of factors can screw them up: what's in the mouth, dental hygeine, presence of trace amounts of blood, etc.

Hey Genarr3

Thanks for the advice, but as far as I could tell the first site you listed just discussed the interpretation of lab tests etc and did not offer online testing as the name implied.

The second site was blood tests which are probably cheaper than going to the doctor but still require going some where and getting your blood drawn. Hmm I wonder if they would let me draw it myself.

Thanks for the advice. I am disappointed to hear that you haven’t had good luck with them (saliva tests), because I found a site that sells kits for only 35.96.

I have read on several sites that saliva tests are actually more precise, but I know you can’t necessarily believe what you read. How long ago did you use the saliva test? Any chance they have been perfected since then? For the price I might give it a try though.

Thanks for the help Genarr3 and buffdoc
