I wanted to make my own gear for personal use as most of the stuff on the market is ugl anyway. This way I know exactly what it is I am using.
One problem I have is that there are still bits of powder in the oil after filtering, can anyone help or give any suggestions into why this is occurring?

I am by no means an authority... But IMO with minor experience in bathtub chemistry there are several reasons why impurities or other "suspect" particles might be in your oil...
1. that could either be indicative of a degraded or ripped Whatman FIlter (assuming you are using a 0.45 µm filter)?
2. Use of too large a micron filter for the micron size of your compounds..
2. I would check the vials that your transferring to are thoroughly clean as well...
3. Depending on concentration and when it was compounded, it could be crashing out...
