Homebrewing & crimping tops

Anyone here ever use a crimper? I have a little powder left & would like to crimp the tops on the gear rather than injecting it into sterile vials.

my question is, when you buy vials & tops, etc... they're not "sterile" (or can you get sterile ones?)... would the BA in the solution make this safe?

Just seems unsafe to me, but I know people do it... would save a hell of a lot of time

I know guys who give the vials BA baths, and others that will just bake them in the oven… either way the BA in the oil is usually enough to prevent any microbial growth. So you should be safe if I understand your question...

I would give them a alcohol bath and then pop them in the oven,i just can't remember what temp i used to bake them at.

Why would you want to do all that work for instead of just using a filter and filtering it into sealed and steralized vials? I could understand someone mass producing for sale but for personal use?

def. squirt ba in those open vials to wash them out...then pop them in the oven on a tray and dont put the temp and higher than like 250 to be safe! Make sure that when you clean with ba that you make sure as much of the ba drips OUT of the bottle before you put it in the oven clean the outside of the vial if any gets on it while cleaning, shit is highly flamable

you can get sterile or unsterile vials sealed and unsealed alike. lol, there used to be some great places to get all that shit dirt cheap who knows now lol. make sure if you get a crimper its a, for example 20mm, crimper if thats the size of the vials...
