Just got finished a nice clear batch of tren. I was looking at my handywork and noticed two small pieces of the rubber stopper floating around in my brew, well son of a b*tch!

I see my options as this:
1) Since they appear too large to get through my 23g needles, just keep an eye on them and make sure they dont get through.
2) hmm, i would say dump the batch, but thats not even an option and this will prob. happen again in the future. But come to think of it, lying face down while a doctor cuts into my ass does not appeal to me either.

Ok, I know someone has had this happen before, what are my options?

1. refilter

2. use a small guage pin to suck all the oil out of the vial and inject it into another vial. in this case your small pin would serve as your filter

its just a piece of rubber from the stopper, don't worry about it, it won't cause an infection or anything as londg as you were clean when you made it

what you said, provided you're sure about them being too large for the needle
if you're not sure, just refilter

btw, I would recommend using screw top vials with silicone septa instead of the usual (and cheaper) crimp tops. Silicone is much more suitable for repeated usage than rubber because it doesn't tear into pieces. I use 22ml screw tops made by Supelco.

For furture reference, keep the 18g in the the empty sterile one. This way you are only stabbing it once. When transferring oil back and forth unscrew the filter so that the 18g and filter are still in the sterile bottle. Simply screw on a fresh 18g to suck out the pre filtered stuff take off that 18g then screw the push tube on to the filter that is already sticking into the sterile bottle. I never get the rubber chunks anymore with this technique.
