When making fina, do you have to run the product thru the coffee filter? Or can you go right to the whitman Filter.

whatman filter, you can use the coffee filter to filter the shit at the bottom when you convert, it will give you a few extra cc's.

when you buy a kit from either finafarm or getpinz...they come with all you need...

If this is your first conversion, Use the coffee filter. When you clog the filter from not letting the binders completely settle out or just draw some up and try to send it through the Whatman syringe filter.. You'll wish you had used the coffee filter.

You can do it in a rather easy way: wait until the insoluble residues have sedimented and then pour the clear solution in another beaker. Then use a sterile membrane filter (0,2 micrometers) to sterilize the clear solution but make sure that the solution has a low viscositity. This will happen by using a mixture of iso-propylmyristate and a vegetable (edible) oil.
