Home Audio Question

i'm thinking about getting one of them home audio systems... looking at the sony ones so far (sony make a good product?) i dont need a 2k$ bose or anything. i'm looking at the systems that have like 5 satelite speakers, DVD player, receiver, etc.

my Q is this, is there anyway to hook a system like this up to my lap top to play my mp'3s through it?

Yes, all you ned is an adapter to send the signal from your laptop to the reciever.

I don't know anything about home audio but for some reason, the wires involved in home audio are the ONLY wires that my ferrets like to chew on. They never chew non-food items so I almost wonder if they taste good or something.

Honestly, the only difference between most midrange systems is how loud you can turn it up without distortion.
