The NCAA plans to conduct drug testing on Division I athletes this summer, according to a report in The NCAA News.

The NCAA Committee on Competitive Safeguards and Medical Aspects of Sports reportedly wants the focus this year on football and baseball players, but any Division I athlete could be subject to testing.

"This has been coming for some time," Mary Wilfert, the NCAA's associate director of education outreach and staff liaison to the committee, was quoted as saying in the report. "We've previously been hesitant to test into the summer months, because of concerns about extending student-athletes' participation in a sport beyond a traditional season and also logistical considerations.

"But the reality is that student-athletes don't take the summer off."

The NCAA News reported that testing probably will occur even if athletes are not on campus, meaning tests could take place at homes, jobs or other locations.

Wilfert said that NCAA rules allow for testing at any time of the year, and athletes sign forms that tell them a test can take place from the beginning of the academic year through Aug. 31 of the following year.





I think i can speak for a lot of people that this new rule in the Ncaa fucks up many peoples summer plans and im pretty pissed about this, coming to your house? is this the NCAA or the FBI

i never got tested and i played basketball for 3 years at texas tech.

And just go with suspension or hgh, youll be fine.

With what this guy mentioned. Fonz had a post about using Test supsension before the weekend so that it cleared before the following week. I am no expert on beating tests and have not keeped up with the drug scene in relation to testing in NCAA sports so others will probably be more qualified. They will not test on the weekends so taking it Thurs/Friday before the weekend I think is what Fonz mentioned.

Most coaches that are not stubborn and who actually have a clue to athletes using AAS will also inform the athlete when the testing will take place if they can foresee it or have been told in advance. One of my buddies who played football at XXXX was always notified. He got popped using long half-life drugs though. So, the coaches just put him on the injured list when he popped dirty...or something like that...can't remember exactly. I know he was suspended a time or two as well. The coach would warn him but obviously could not take the blame or come up with excuses every time.

I've heard of people doing this too. I don't know if it is harder to do now though.

Last October, the Canadian bobsledder Giulio Zardo was suspended for two years for refusing to submit to a drug test. Zardo had quit the Canadian team despite being an Olympic gold-medal contender after a drug sample he gave in March 2005 tested positive for finasteride, according to a report in The Toronto Star. Zardo said he had been taking Propecia since 2000 for hair loss.

What more could a player need... As far as testing goes... you can always have clean piss put into your system. Although there are some health factors concerning this it can and is done.You guys remeber the movie "The Program"? That was the first exsposure to roids when I was growing up and I just saw it recently... how typical potrayal of hollywood to show a massive, rapist, out of control AS user.

mask tren...I DOUBT IT BRO....if you think you are gonna be tested i'd use things such as winny or suspension...or just don't juice.....or you could quit the NCAA and become a pro bodybuilder....JK

NCAA rules (when I played d2 football) gave 24 hours notice, and you had to be there at 6am that day. I never got tested. They tested a percentage of each position in football.

Seems like those fuckers found out to get us tested too and frankly i think there alot of juiceheads among the players. This just sucks ... where's the time i could cycle and play football at one time without worrying
