I hate it when we get those here!

I get nervous too and I actually go in the basement with my cats! lol.

Are the sirens going off??

no i dont have a trailor
No the sirens are not going off, it was on the tv
No we never have tornado warnings here in eastern mass
No I will not sit in this house alone waiting by myself with 3 kids
No no and no

You have to wait in the house, sweety.

Go to the basement awayfrom the windows...

Don't leave, that's not smart.

Don't be fucking around with tornado warnings. If you have one in your area, head to the basement. There might not be a siren nearby or it might not give you enough time if it does go off.

No basement - then an inside bathroom without windows. If the shit really hits the fan - get in the bathtub and wait for me... Oh wait - no that's not it, but get in the bathtub with pillows.

I would let chya come stay with me *snuggle*

Eastern Mass. huh?

I got family all over Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard.

VERY strange to have tornados there. Stay safe!

It is to the west of us right now, which is good..The damn weather alerts need to be more specific about what counties they are talking about..Hopefully N2 will be done at the gym soon..My poor kids, I made them come sit next to me, lol...
yeah no basement here either, just the good ol tub!
Hopefully it will die down before it hits us.seems to be a bit of a lull right now though..could be a good sign...I have never had a tornado here before..We had one in italy and I was clueless as all get out...

Hope you don't get one now - they suck. (as if you didn't know) I used to live in Quincy - can't remember ever having a tornado there. Now I live in Illinois - we get them all the damn time and to be completely honest - they scare the shit out of me.

Get your bed sheets and hold 2 corners with each hand. Like a parachute. Just run around outside until the whole thing's squared away.

Quincy has a purple cell over it, so it looks as though they are one of the ones that has the warning out...I was a little concerned earlier when they were in western mass, I thought surely they would make their way here but the fucking weather men suck..Earlier he was saying it would be too cold by the time the storms hit this area...Well guess again fuckers!
Looks as though I am not in a direct threat for right now, but I am still obviously concerned...
I mean hell, living in the same area except for the few years I was in italy..A friggin tornado could hit me and I would be none the wiser..Lol
I remember seeing the funnel cloud in italy..I had both needto and my neighbor come out to look at the weird funny cloud as I sat on my porch in amazement..Damn good thing it was far enough away from where we were...Hahahahaha Everyone was basically shitting their pants as I just sat there saying "Wow it sounds like a loud vacumn cleaner and the cloud is funny"...My neighbors visitor was running around closing windows and freaking out...I had no idea...And to think science was the only class where I got straight A's.

Ignorance is bliss. I used to run outside when I heard the sirens to try and get a look... Then I became very afraid for no real reason. Now I shit my pants when I hear those things go off. My wife laughs at how fast I can make it to the basement.

looks like it is lightening up some but looks as though we have another batch heading this way, again.
I have been terrified of storms, severe ones are def not my favorite kind

Yep - I hear ya.

Oh - something that may or may not help you here. A tornado MOSTLY forms at the Southwestern edge of a storm front. So if you're not at the Southwestern edge - odds are - you will be alright. I use that when the shit hits the fan up here. It puts me at ease a little bit. Except when I am at the southwestern edge of the storm. I don't like those days.

Looks as though we hit the northern tip of the storm so most of the tornado warnings was south of us...I saw the winds pick up and heard the warnings on tv (which did not state what counties) and I got extremely worried..Looks as though these other batches are severe too, but not as bad as the ones that just passed.
See we get way too much snow here, but hell it is far better than tornados and shit. We did have funnel clouds I believe it was last year, and a few towns over 2 years ago had a "tornado" (nothing close to a real southern tornado)...But in my 26 years of life there has never been any "real" tornados that devastate like they do in the south

Glad to see all is well. I'll have to call some family in Quincy and make sure they didn't blow away.

no reports of tornado touching down from what i was hearing..Just some hail and real heavy winds..Which I can only imagine because the wind here was rough, it must have been a bit of a bitch there.

yeah, I have seen some "good" hail too..
Thats cool about the roof. Too bad you could not get a new car due to hail too, lol.

No shit - god knows I need one. We replace my piece of shit car with a new one for the wife to drive and I get her old piece of shit. :sigh: ... Being the man just blows ass sometimes.

Only really good storm story I have - as a kid - I was leaving a K-mart (yeah a K-mart - we weren't rich) with my tough-skin jeans. It was a nasty storm and my dad had started the car but was stuck in a long line trying to get to the front of the store to pick us up. So we decided we would run to the car. So my bro and I start sprinting through the rain to the car when WHAP! Lightening struck the parking lot so close to us that it knocked my brother to the ground. We were alright - but that was some scary shit.
