Holy shit I think Ephedrine HCL is better than any psych drug!!

just for the record...

it fucked up my sleeping patterns bigtime!
i used to fall asleep quite easily, and no noise would wake me up.

for the longest time, i had serious troubles falling asleep at night and the slightest noise would wake me up.

to this day i think my body has still not recovered fully from efedrine abuse.
ill be honest, i used it on very very rare occasions but not for training purposes anymore.

if on a long business trip and have a seriously long day ahead of me and absolutely must have an extra 'kick' thats about the only time ill do it...

but i hear ya bro....
the first few times on efedrine i felt like god himself.
and if you dont abuse efedrine, that feeling will remain each time you do it.
but its highly addicting, as most will tell ya.

I have to chime in (agreeing with Satch and others) to say I have used ephedrine HCL a lot, mostly back in the mid-90's and I too loved that initial focus effect. BUT... it does not last and you will need to take more to get the same effect. After a few days you will become a run-down wreck. I started getting sick easily after using ephedrine. I'm pretty sure it was competing with my immune system. I eventually gave the stuff up. In my opinion it was long-term no good for me. I think it's ok to use it occasionally for a day here and there, say once a week at most. But I would definitely not use it for multiple days to stay focused or feel high from it.

Satch,
I have to agree with you here. These are good words of advice for Rocksolid.
Rocksolid if your reading this - you sound way too excited about and are probably going to end up abusing ephedrine. "try to avoid it all together" you should take that one to the bank. You will alwys try to feel like you did that first time, and you won't ever feel that way again because it will never be for the first time again.
To the guy who said something about acid in this post - you gotta be kidding me. I took 4 way window pane two weeks in a row back in the 80's. Day one I couldn't even go out in public, by the fourteenth day I was talking to my teachers about homework while on it. You will always build up a resistance if too repetitive. I have used ephedrine and it will make me slightly paranoid, but it gives me the uppity up I need to get a good lift. Those are the days (probably twice a month), that I get in and out of the gym without sayiong a word to anyone - I even avoid a sauna at the end which is the favorite part of my workout. But ephredine to me is not like real speed, not like the speed and and coke I used to do many years ago.

Dude just like the others I appreciate you chiming in. I think like alot of people on here, I get hooked on shit easy. I've been there before, and know better now. Didn't realize ephedrine was so closely related to methamphetamine.

Point is I'm only going to use it on very rare occasions, i.e. to school a job interview or lose some weight for a week. I'm happy with life so I don't need that shit.

Thanks

It's not that closely related to meth, its not even within the same class but it can still damage you long term. Basically dexamphetamine/methamphetamine/ritalin were developed to mimick the effects of ephedrine. Ephedrine is purely a beta-2-adrenergic, the other amphetamines are dopaminergics and/or adrenergics. Be careful with the stuff, I never went above 24 mg's/day. You do feel crashed afterwards, not as bad as with ritalin though. It is addictive, I always thought I had control over its usage but I used like 8-24 mgs every single day (excluding weekends). When I didnt take it, I had headaches and massive fatigue (nothing I couldn't deal with, it was minor). But once you start hitting the 32-48 mg/stack dosage, you're running into trouble. Cycle it if you must use it to avoid tolerance...and its a thermogenic, it's not bulking friendly. Good luck...btw...I never noticed much focussing effects from ephedrine, I had much better focus on dex/ritalin. Anyway I pulled off all that stuff now, you get your highs, but you also get your lows :S. I'd rather stay consistent and keep my heart/CNS.

bro i think you'll be a lot better off if you just forget the stuff exists. I spent 2 years as an adderall junkie before i realized that some shrinks are only interested in your wallet, not your well-being. Anything that makes you feel that good has a very strong potential for addiction.

And i have the same problem as satch now. My sleep patterns are so fucked up i now have recurrent insomnia, never had it before. As i write this I haven't been able to sleep more than two or three hours a night for about a week.

Coming off of the stuff is hell. I was depressed for months afterwards.

This is just my guess, but if you get addicted to it you'll probably use working out as an excuse to use it when you don't really need to and would have gone to the gym without it anyway. And then you run the risk of feeling like you need it EVERY time you work out.

If you're feeling unmotivated and caffeine isn't enough to give you the kick you need to get to the gym, maybe you should just stay home that day.
