high creatinine plz help

my grandfathr is 73 his level 1.6 hes took metformin and now is on avandia he is diabetic. Anyone know what herbs or supps he can maybe try to lower this. Of course whatever u answer will be past by his doc first thank u.

I'm not sure what he can take... all i know is that a high creatinine level could be the result of renal problems. of course reduced renal functioning is fairly normal in the elderly. I don't know the normal numbers though. check w/ your doc.

It's better than either of those drugs and it will make him feel A LOT better.
