I hide a folder with my goods.

Name them like a1.avi

And the folder is hidden.
Anything else to be weary of like recently viewed movies with vlc media player?

Just trying to keep my stash private.

If you're that worried why don't you just buy a thumb drive and keep anything incriminating on THAT instead of downloading it to your hard drive at all then keep it someplace secure? You can even password protect and encrypt it.

Hiding from who, your significant other or authorities. A hidden pw protected folder is all you need unless your girl is in IT.

There is no hiding from authorities unless you wipe your disk with DoD style 3 written passes of 0's and 1's or above. Guttman method is 35 passes on the drive that should do it for you.

Both windows and VLC player will keep a history of recently played vids. You'll need to clear you recently viewed items when your done watching your porn.

Just bring up your menu, right click on the titles and clear them out

select the option to delete history and cookies every time the browser is closed, tell her it's to protect from viruses, key loggers and tracking cookies, if she gets paranoid tell her it was suggested on PCworld.com

OR you can tell her to stop being such a controlling maniac, there is nothing wrong with porn, it's not like you're cheating, good lord...

Well try this. I used to have to do it when I was a kid living at home. Goto google search vids section and search what you wanna watch and it should pop up in the google player. Just make sure you delete ur google history.
