You guys got any festivals over there. I never see any posts or threads about big outdoor festivals in the States, y'know, creamfields, Gatecraser summer sound system, homelands, that sort of thing. It's take hold in England, and its starting to really get a following here in Oz. In some ways it's killing the club scene, butthey are kick ass events

festivals? we had like area 2 at the pnc area in jersey not too long ago. they had tiesto and a lot of other international djs. if that is what you mean by festivals we have some big parties here. as for killing the club scene i'm not sure, i couldn't really say. you guys get the big talent more often then us and probably the much better parties (not to mention drugs)

Yeah, that's the stuff. We dont get as many big name acts here, but we do get alot of good underground DJ's coming out. They are more willing to come to Oz than the Digweed's, Tenaglia's etc 'cause they ask for two much just to fly all the way to Australia for one or two gigs.

Summer Sound Sydtem in Sydney last year was the shiznit. Four separate arena's over 18 hours, Green velvett, Lucien Foort, Richie Hawtin, Tall Pall, Doc Martin, Choo Choo Romero, Mauro Picotto and heaps of others.

I was mashed for 3 days!

oh australia, damn yeah that does suck. we got tenglia every week at vinyl here, he's at a bad club with a bad crowd though. we don't have that many hot parties as we'd like in this area actually. most ppl talk about going for international talent but i've been hitting jersey and factory which aren't really recognized for its music.

i'm not sure how its compared to australia but i really can't complain

I hear ya, same sit here. Clubs with great music = ugly chicks, clubs with cheesy music = babes.

we were supposed to have gatecrasher ( or was it homelands..now I can't even remember) here way out in long island with lots of djs in sept 2001, but it was cancelled.

Never really any multiday festivals in the NYC area..but in detroit they have the detroit electronic music festival (DEMF) which is 3 days and is great...they have the burning man out west...

if you hop up to canada they have more multiday festivals in toronto and montreal...like WEMF
