Company I just applied to is based out of there. Apparently there is drilling to be done in Queensland.

i havnt been to brisbane!! lol (or queensland as a whole...its on my "to do" list (pun lovingly sculpted and totally intended lol)

but the place youre talking about is a 15 minute drive from brisbane, which is fantastic news for you - youre basically working in the city. its supposedly a nice city (my whole family goes vacationing there, i just seem to have put it off forever). the population is of about a million people, though with a lot of tourists from other states (its further north than melb/syd/adelaide/perth and so people use the place as a beach escape) and from oveseas (lots of japanese) so the night life goes off

its one of those places where surfing and rugby culture is pretty strong, its relatively cheap, safe, and full of young blonde things in bikinis for you to pick up (not kidding. lots. most of my mates who go there manage to bag a swag of blonde bikini clad things and send me pictures, its disgusting)

do not, under any circumstances, pass this up

queensland is probably the whitest state in australia - relatively few greeks/italians but lots oand lots of blonde people. supposedly a lot of asians are there at teh moment as well.
