Here's what I want to do:
I have a laptop, desktop, 4-port d-link router and a dsl internet connection (which requires authentication to use, isp has a program to connect).
Anyways, I can't find the book that has the installation cd for the isp's connection program called Access Manager and that book also has my user name and password for that program. What I want to do is have an internet connection going to my laptop without having to install the program on it and without having to reenter my settings anywhere (not even the d-link). I was told there is something you can do that you can download or get from d-link (they're closed for the weekend and I need this connection now, so I cant get support) which sends a signal from you internet connection to your d-link that makes it so it sends the internet connection to all other netorked computers without the authentication being required (because it gets the authentication from the first computer, the desktop in my case)
What I have set up right now is like this:
Modem->computernic1->cord coming from computernic2-dlink lan/wan port-from port2 of dlink I have a connection to my laptop.
