My wife had annual paps and then went through a series similar to your but she had full blown Ovarian Cancer by the time any here figured it out.superqt4u2nv said:In Ontario we don’t have the option for paid health care. I know in other provinces they do. I wish we at least had the option to pay for some services to get faster attention. I haven’t had a primary physician in 8 years because there are no accepting new patients so I have to go to walk-ins and wait if I need a Dr. I had some abnormal paps about 4 years back 4 pap test in a row came back with not favorable results they then scheduled a surgery for 6 months later by the time the cells were removed I was just shy of full blow cervical cancer not the best service in the world IMO. Sure we don’t pay as high insurance rates in the US but we get bent over on taxes.
Since I am commissioned some pay checks are better then others I pay any where form 30-50% taxes per pay check we get lots of “gifts” that fall under taxable benefits that is taxed at 50%. Plus I pay provincial sales tax and GST (goods and services federal tax) on most everything except groceries to the tune of 14% that is anywhere from 44-64% not including property tax I checked depending where you live it is about 8-12% of your property value per year. The Shadow said:Speaking of taxes, a study was done last year and if you factor in all the local, state and federal taxes(inheritance, etc), the average Us citizen pays 48% on taxes every year

Trust me I feel lucky like I said it is better then the alternative. My parents are snow birds spend there winters in FL and they tell me they have friends can't even get medical insurance cause there elderly. WTF??WODIN said:My wife had annual paps and then went through a series similar to your but she had full blown Ovarian Cancer by the time any here figured it out.
