I did. A group of Dr's used my services to locate a new property and negotiate the whole building process. They assured me there was no way they were going to stay at their current location.
I had them sign an agreement that stated that if they did stay I was due a split of the commission at their current location.
Well, the day before they were to sign the papers they said they were staying at their current location.
Essentially, what they did was have me do all sorts of work so that they could go back to their current land lord and use the threat of leaving to get a better rate.
I was due to make $60,000 on this deal. It would have closed next month.
They refused to pay my fee for staying at their current location which would have been pennies on the dollar to me.
After all is said and done I might get $2,500. Talk about a bunch of scumbags!
BTW. My attorney is the best at what he does. They don't stand a chance. They will be advised to settle. If they fight it they will spend more defending themselves than it would cost to settle.
