If my luck doesn't suck. I have got an outbreak of shingles from my neckline to the back of my head. Want to know pain? It is like being hit with an electric stun gun periodically in my neck. On nerve medicine and Lortab and shit still hearts, I can be to the point of passing out and still hearts. Doctor said it was because my immune system was so low. I read that people on AS can acquire this. It is the chicken pox virus reactivated in your body. I started a cycle about 3 weeks ago so it is probably the cause. Has anyone had this? I am afraid it will keep happening everytime I get on cycle. And demmit this shit is painful as hell. If you have had experience please inform me.

I got it real bad in high school because my immune system was shot to hell from lots of high dose acne meds and shit. Trust me, it could be alot worse. When I had it the doc took me off the prednisone too early, and the rash went from just my side to all over (ALL over) and I got a systemic staph infection which caused my whole face to puff out in these weird ass bumps. I looked like Dustin Hoffman's character in the Dick Tracy movie. The only thing that got me through it was a very generous supply of codeine.

whatever you do, just tell people you have shingles...never use the H word... that is if you have any interest in getting laid in the next decade.

I never use the "H" word, just did it here to distract some messed up replies. Heavy doses of Lortab and Neurontin see me through the day with some Lidocaine. Only problem is I am a walking vegetable and sit in class either asleep or on the way there. The pain sux, even doped heavy it still sux. I am afraid thisstuff will come back again, I saw some gruesome pics of old pep's with it.

Had it happen to me. I caught it quick. small area on my chest only, but yeah, it was painful. Got on meds quick and I think my immune system is pretty good so it was gone in like 10 days. Reoccurances are rare. As far as being suseptible cuz you're on AS? I doubt it. I haven't been on a cycle in a while. I've only done a few and they were PUSSY compared to what guys on this board do. I mean PUSSY!, and I still got it. I don't think they are related. Sounds like your immune system just got overloaded. Its natural especially when you consider the environment we "live" in. Not the most sanitary and it has been shown to live in such environments. Put that together with a weak immune system and there's your problem. Not AS.

Yeah man, but it sucks when your are sitting in class learning nothing. Went to gym today and almost fell asleep on bench a few times. I don't care much for the meds, I just want the pain to stop. It is nice to be in lala land once in awhile though

anyway went to the doctors and he prescribed me - a drug which belongs to clovyr family called acyclovir- treats all herpes

the doc told me it is caused by stress and all kinds of shit like that

i was going out snorting and pilling all the time whilst training hard and trying to remain lean-bit harsh for the old system!!!!!!!!!!!!

he also prescribed me some shit they give to aids patients called inosine pranobex-it is an immuno-modulator-----boosts your immune system to fuck.

so kids, get your doctors to prescribe you that shit and it will soon go

VItor, it is not the rash or bieng out in public that bothers me, most of it is right below my shirt collar and in my hair line. It is the F#@king PAIN! And I mean PAIN! Ever been hit by an electric tazer gun? In the neck? It feels like that after eating a nuerontrin and 2 lortabs.

Christ man get a real Doctor, you should have been put on Zovirax (acyclovir) or one of the many anti virals as soon as he seen you. You clear up in about a week otherwise it can be one long road. Get back to a Doc for a anti viral asap, bro.
