Anyone ever have one? What's the symptoms? Etc? I have semi burning stabbing pain going on in my left side right above mr happy. Or if you prefer Rectus Abdonminus / Oblique region above the left Anteria Super Spina and Illiac Crest.

No hernia, but my Hemorrhoid is a bit better today after sticking Mr Prep H up my ass.

I've gotten that sensation in the same place as well as going into my sack on and off for the past few years. I've had it checked out three times and they always say I'm clear and not to worry unless I feel a bulge. I've been laying off a lot of heavy deads and free squats lately because they irritate it pretty quick.

Wodin - I have a hernia right now, but it is an umbilical.
If it isn't bulging, then it could be either "just" a tear there, or it could be that the protrusion is interior more right now.
if the pain is bad enough that you can't function and don't enjoy life, or if you are having weird eating problems (like different painful shits, or puking, or bad cramps and such), then also that is bad.
that is all what the surgeon said when I went.
he basically said that in order to fix it, it will hurt and it will take you out for a bit (a few weeks of no lifting), so you have to weigh it out - if it hurts now and long enough for it to make it worthwhile, then get it fixed.
for what it is worth - I've had sharp pains and burning there before that go away after some time - and no jokes about STD, they were all exercise induced.

There was a heavy woman on a treadmill at the gym last week in some sort of puffy silver plastic outfit. I thought maybe it was supposed to make her sweat more or something but now I realize that she was protecting herself from assorted diseases. I think I'll have to do the same. I can't afford a fancy plastic outfit right now so I think I'll just cover myself in saran wrap, throw on some mittens, and wear a helmet.

Yeah, it wasn't pretty, and it's not something that I like to go around bragging about.
Sure it's cool to have your picture on the internet and all, but the novelty wears off after a while.

I had one when I was in high school. It didn't hurt, and I didn't know what it was, so I waited over a year before I got it fixed. By that time it had grown into a protrusion about the size of a large egg. The operation was pretty routine, but my whole abdominal region was sore as hell for a week or two. I couldn't even sit up in bed.
There are two methods for fixing a hernia. If it's a small one, the hole in your abdominal wall can just be sewn shut. Otherwise, a piece of mesh will be sewn across the hole. I have the mesh. Now and then I feel a slight twinge down there, but the doc says that's nothing to worry about. The chances of it blowing again are very small. I'm up to deadlifting 625, so I don't think the surgery, which was 5 years ago, is affecting me any now.

I'm fine, thinking oh this slight burning twingy thing is going to go away...just a muscle twich then I get a sharp shot of pain that makes me spasm forward, backward, sideways.
The spasms are almost as good as an orgasm.
