Here's what REALLY makes you big-

g-dogg

New member
I had a heated discussion with some fruit at the gym about how important diet is, I really belive diet is about 80% of how we look-this guy says "juicers" just need to train hard and take shit to grow-after 9 years I finally know how to eat right and I'm 300 fucking pounds, what do you think the most important thing is?

whats you diet look like bro?....i've been trying to iron mine out to suit me best....its ok but it could be better....do you have a good bulking diet i could try?.....drop me an email if you want ...any help is appreciated

Your wrong. Diet is about 85%

Actually, it's "you're", not "your", so you're wrong! HAHA :D

And yes, diet is probably the single most important aspect of any fitness routine.

Here's what I eat right now for bulking, NO BULLSHIT:
6 am-1 bowl of cereal and 50 grams of whey--go back to bed
10 am-steak and potatoes (I hate breakfast food in the AM)
12:30 pm-eat out like mexican food or sushi-high protein, not complete garbage
2:30 pm-50 grams of whey with rice cakes TRAIN
4:00 pm-post training-60 grams of complex carbs and 35 grams of whey(liquid)
6 pm-whatever I want as long as I eat a lot of protein
8 pm-chicken, steak, or fish with rice and veggies
10 pm-50 grams of whey with FF milk
1 am-turkey sandwich
4 am-whatever is in the fridge

Well, actually, if you want to get technical. "Your wrong" is correct. Kind of like saying "My bad" I was using it - like it was his bad or his wrong. Not neccessarily saying "he is wrong" or "You are wrong"

Glad we got that settled.;)

fuck that 1/3 shit.

a man can look good without training or good rest if he does normal daily activity and eats exactly what his body needs, Diet is up their, around 99% if you are playing the hit or miss game for comp. Training and rest is always secondary to getting the right fuel, period. therefore there is no comparing them whatsoever

Anyone who thinks that diet is NOT at least 80%, just hasn't learned yet. :) but I would actually put it up in the higher 80's myself :)

food

I have to agree with the food thing. My biggest problem now is that I can't even seem to get full. It sucks. You can't get enough variety of foods that are healthy because you don't have time to fix them all. and when you get full of say your 4 bbq sandwiches, you might still want something else with a different flavor. though i think most of us agree we can do without the tuna flavor for oh say..the rest of our lives. :D

I don't care how much gear you are pumping in, if your diet looks like shit than so will you. Diet is the absolute most important aspect in achieving results in BB. If anyone thinks any diff. then you are kidding yourself. If you ask me, diet is the most difficult part of BB and requires the most descipline. Training is the fun part.

None of this means anythig without DIET...proper dietary practices. You can train all you want and pump AS into your body until it comes out of your ears, but if you don't provide your body with the resources it needs to build and repair muscle tissue, fuel training, and fuel anabolism them NOTHING is going to happen. I always say doet is 100% of your results. Training and AS just push everything over the edge and into the "no longer human" realm. You CAN'T grow without food. And with our ever expanding knowledge of how vertain food effect the human body we can manipulate it even further. By eating the right foods at the right times we can maximize all aspects of physical performance and physique enhancement. Diet is a science. The more you know the more you grow.

Here's my curent diet:

meal 1

16 egg whites

1.5 cups of oats

I hate to say this but genetics are more then your diet, I got a friend who is 5'10 185 7% bf and this is his diet

meal 1 bagle with butter and cream cheese with a glass of milk

meal 2 burger king big burger with fries and a coke

meal 3 a snack like a bag of chips and a soda

after work out 1 protein shake

meal 4 what ever is avalible for dinner most of the time it's take out like pizza or chinese

I get so mad when I watch him eat all that shit, it's all about genetics sure your diet is very important to the avarge joe, but to the genetic freaks they can get away with it.

Imagine what he could accomplish if he ate properly. Besides, I don't see how being 5'10" and 185 lbs is impressive or any major accomplishment.

I think genetics plays a big role as well....

Your friend is 185 pounds....Nuff said. Just like GARAGE GORILLA said, imagime what his physique would be if he ate properly. 5'10 185 is small, no arguement needed. Should he actually eat to maximize his "great genetics" then he might be impressive. This would clearly indicate that diet takes precidence over genetics.

I too agree with the "at least 80% diet rule" What I like is when people try to "guesstimate" why I am either bigger or stronger than them and they think that I only take 1 protien shake a day. I ussually tell them to triple that and they can't believe it. sucks getting bigger, costs more and more to feed myself!!

my gym who weigh 170-180 in the off seson and compete at 155 and let me tell you those stats may sound small but it's all about the way you look-- Shit bro, my cock weighs more than him-you're right, it's pretty big

I agree diet is the key

I admire Gdogg and beezers for their eating machine capabilities. I myself like to sleep like 10 hours so my meal frequency usually doest pass six meals. I try to eat every 2-2 1/2 hours.

Example

Meal#1
10 egg whites/2 yolks
3-4 servings of Quaker oatmeal
2 slices of 100% whole wheat toast

Meal#2
2 meat loaf sanwiches(100% wheat bread)
2 cups skim milk
1 medium sized white potatoe
1 Ms fields oatmeal cookie

Meal#3
50g whey protein shake
1 big mac style peanut butter and jelly sandwich(Easy on the peanut butter)

Meal#4
2 meatloaf sandwiches
2 cups skim milk
1 potatoe
1 cookie

Workout

Meal#5(post workout)
50g whey protein shake
50g dextrose

Meal#6(45-60 minutes later)
2 meatloaf sandwiches
2 cups skim milk
1 potatoe
1 cookie

Meal#7(Small meal before bed)
1 deli turkey sandwich
3 cups skim milk(Slow burning protein)

I dont count when I bulk but I would say this comes out to a good 5500-6000 calories. I eat alot of meatloaf. Its one of those foods I can eat all day. I use 93% lean ground turkey. I make 4 lb meat loafs every 2-3 days. Im growing like a weed and am currently AS free. I would love to know the results I would get from this type of diet if I was on a cycle.

P.S.
I shit alot and it hurts my ass sometimes. Just though id share that with everyone. I bet im not the only one either(or am I LOL)

Have to say I agree with eric fustino about how some people can look big at a light weight. I am 5'8" I only weigh 184lbs., at about 9% bodyfat, but I think(not to brag) I look very big indeed. My arms are 18in. cold, but my structure is very small( I have 6 in. wrists). My chest measures 48 in. relaxed. Anyway I am not on here to give measurements, or to claim to be a mass monster but people need to get over the "weight" thing. Its not always about weight, whether that be what you lift or actually weigh, its about structure, fullness, and separation, along with the genetic shape of each muscle group.-WULF

Oh, also, I agree with everyone who says diet is no. 1. It is about 80% of not only getting big, but looking good. It is also the part almost everyone fucks up on. Be proud if you can post a diet like Willlyumyum or Yll. We are the minority let me assure you. I got friends taking more grams of test into their body in a week than they do protein.lol.-WULF:D

Gains are:

100% Diet
100% Hydration
100% Training
100% Rest
100% Supplements/Gear

----------------------------

Take away any leg of this and it all falls apart. Everything is 100% ...

Thats pretty funny but in reality your cock might weigh 1/2 as much as him LOL

Mr. Eric Fustino
If you thing your friend looks big at 5'10" 155lbs. your crazy. Even if he was 1% bodyfat he still wouldnt look big. Tell your friend that if he wants to get big to put on a baggy T shirt and fill up that grocery cart. No flaming intended here. Just my advice.

i just graze like a cow all day long - ends up around 6000-10000 cals on cycle (depending on activity levels, which are normally quite high), and 5000-7000 off cycle.

in a typical day, i eat around 4 cans of tuna, and a pound of steak. that's about it for meats. i also drink about a gallon of milk/day. the rest is carbs...shitloads of carbs. i'll eat 500 grams of spaghetti noodles per sitting generally.
