Here's what i did this weekend

Thought I'd post up some pictures of my 2 1968 Camaro's that i'm doing. The black one that is painted already, i am just putting new doors on it since i took off the door handles and locks and put electric windows and power locks in it. The other one that is in primer has been a frame up resto for me, and I just finished putting in a new dash this weekend on it since it was easier to cut it up than try and fit all my crap into the center console. Spent all weekend on it with a buddy who has his own rod shop and it's going to paint this week and the other with the doors will be done the week after :)

I keep a farm with a pretty big shop up near my hometown and it let's me have a place to put all my restoration projects and such. Well i got a good offer for the place and I think i'm going to sell and buy some space that's smaller, but closer to the twin cities for me. There are some more project cars in the back under those cloth's but i'm just scrapping those. The only one i'm keeping for next is my 1950 Mercury, but that will require me to get a new girlfriend in order to spend what i want to on it LOL

I have to find a cheaper hobby :(

Black with white rally stripes is a 377 alchohol motor i bought from a buddy who runs outlaw cars. It has a 3 speed manual with no clutch in it and 4:11 gears :) There is a setup that is hydraulic and it's just a collar on the shaft with 13 pressure plates instead of a clutch. Nifty setup but i think i'm going back to automatic in that one

The one in primer is a 440hp 327 small block. I have a 2:73 rear end in that one with a 700R4 automatic in it so it's good for about 160mph or so. You can see some of the new lines i ran to put A/C on it just cause that will be my daily driver and i hate it when they get so hot sitting outside in the summer time. I think i'm selling this one though to fund my 1950 mercury restoration.

I'll post pics of my other rods next week that are done. I ran out of batteries in my camera and couldn't find any in the shop LOL

very nice dude. I'm jealous.

what size engines you putting in them...and trannies (no perk, no), rearends-gearing, etc also?

OMG!! You have a 50 merc? :p LET MEE SSEEE!!! Are you gonna chop the top?

I'm gonna chop it down pretty good, but i hate crouching while i drive so it will have a bit of clearance. In fact i think that's done and the glass is all re-done. It's a 2 door now, but i'm debating on making it a 4 door suicide door or not.

I got a 426ci Hemi aluminum block to throw in there, but even with that stuff done there is still an extraordinarily large amount of money to be spent yet. Selling my one Camaro should help i guess, but we'll have to see :)

All of this hobby stuff has to big of an impact on my summer cycle as well LOL

why yessir it is. I just love those late 40's early 50's cars cause they are absolutely huge. You can fit 8 people in those comfortable LOL
