I read on this board or another that it has a positive effect in that it blocks cortisol levels.

Just something I read, so nobody take my word on that.

Valuim is like Atavan with a longer half-life. It effects the CNS, but shouldn't mess with the pituitary gland or other parts of the endocrine system. Other than the indirect psychological effect, there shouldn't be catabolic effects or anything like that. (I'm not just pulling this shit out of my ass, I asked my doc since I was on Atavan a while back)
