Help with confusion about border

A friend I know smuggled some gear across the boarder several years ago in Texas. While he was there, he visited a Dr. and got some scripts for Sust, Deca and Sten. He asked what would happen if he got cought and the Doc said they would probably just make him throw it out, BUT, he did say it was illegal to take across. So my buddy decided to smuggle it rather than chance claiming it. He made it across okay and the story ends. There are some people now saying it is legal to claim 50 units of human grade at the border. Does anyone know for absolute sure if this is right? And no, I am not going to the border, but I have another friend that is. BamBam

I'm not sure...but I wouldn't try. TO the best of my knowledge, it may be legal to bring ancillaries and things like that across...but not scheduled items.

Bad idea. You'll get nabbed.

Anabolics are schedule 3 drugs. Doesn't matter if a mex doctor scribed them to you, you can't claim them. While I'm on this thread I'll ask a question I haven't seen anyone else ask- why is everyone so damn concerned with getting popped at the border? Ok, so you claim your 50 unit limit (lol) of some substance that you NEED a script for in the US, customs says cool you can cross, then suddenly before you know it a half dozen state cops are all over you. Yes, of course you can claim the 90 day dosage, 50 unit dosage, whatever. Does that stop the customs agent from nodding to a state cop or sheriff and tipping them off? Crossing the border and being across the border are two different things entirely.
Here's a great example. A few buddies and I cruised down to Juarez a couple years ago, bought some shit, and crossed without problem. Of course there was a US Border Control checkpoint about 1.5 hours from the border we had to go through. We made it however it shows you they don't have to nail you at the border- you might get fucked 2 hours from the border. Don't claim shit, don't admit to shit and you'll be good...

Now I've called Jaurez, Del Rio, Browsville, and a few others. 75% tell me you can claim any kind of test at the border at long as it is in the 50 unit liit. Why are these people telling me this? I know you can't bring steroids into the US, but you would think US border agents would know the laws.

I've checked with different crossings... Hwy 5... Hwy 8... in San Diego. You can't bring it across there. There seems to be a difference in interpretation that is letting people bring stuff across in Texas.

Let's not complain. Let's just hope this new wisdom spreads to ALL the border crossings.

I was wondering how the authorities actually check for illegal substances like AAS at the border? Is there anyway that a dog can sniff them out(d-bol,a-bombs etc). Or do they actually have to check in the vehicle or luggage and find them with their eyes?

they look for something that gives them reason to stop you. they ask you if you have naything to declare. say no, don't act nervous and 90% of the time they won't do a thing. If they do anything they will just look in your bag. I've never seen them pat anyone down. I'll tell you monday what happens..
