Help with bad knees

Delinquent

Well-known member
As I am typing this, I am wrapping ace bandages around my knees. Since I have gone back to school, I have had to find a part time job. The only job I could find is working in a home decor type place where with the exception of my 30 minute lunch, I am on my feet for 8 hours, either walking around, restocking items, and climbing up ladders to get stock down. Here is the situation

- No insurance since I only work part time so no doc or ART treatment
- Had my left knee scoped approx 5 years ago. Right knee was also hurt but didn't notice as my left hurt much worse.
- Both knees feel reinjured. Can't do much lateral movement without feeling that stabbing/pinching feeling on the inside of my knees.
- Walking or standing for any amount of time causes the back and sides of my knees to hurt immensely.

Would something like MSM or some other joint supp actually work? I've tried them in the past with little success.

I'm gonna pick up something called Bio freeze which is a rub on ointment that my friend said really helped her back. Anyone ever tried it?

I've decided that even though I'm really hurting, I need to get back in the gym and get some of this weight off that is most likely magnifying the problem.

Other than that, anyone got any advice?

Bio Freeze kicks ass orb! Get a good Glucosamine supplement and take it religiously. I have had ACL reconstruct on my left and my right is shot from compensating for the weaker left. My knees are toast because of heavy lifting and 20km marches with 120# ruck sacks!
Ice your knees when possible to keep the swelling down, but remember that icing will only be beneficial for a couple hours at a time. The bio Freeze will be a big plus when you can't ice them.
