is suppliments like amino acids neccessary to preserve muscle while cutting? what if i cant afford it ? what will happen

You really want to focus on your nutrition!! If you cant afford any extra stuff..make sure you are getting in plenty of calories and good protein sources...good eating can do wonders for your body..try to make sure you are taking a good multi vitamin and getting your good fats in as well...Ask for the extra stuff for christmas:)

BCAAs and L-Glutamine will help you preserve muscle (anti-catabolism) while cutting (especially if you do intense cardio)

BCAAs, Glutamine and plenty of essential amino acids (food and protein supplements). May not need the BCAAs if you're taking an enriched protein powder. More BCAAs aren't as important as having all your essential AAs in circulation constantly.

are bcaa's helpful before a cardio session to preserve muscle as well as glutamine? or just not gonna help a whole lot lol

but woukdnt cardio be cataboolic and bcaa b4 it will help preserve muscle...thast just my theory

If you are doing more than 30 min cardio then yes, I would recommend it. BCAA's basically signal to the body that it has ALREADY broken down muscle tissue so then hopefully your body spares the LBM. Too much cardio is always catabolic that's why if someone can't seem to put on muscle that's my first recommendation besides taking in more calories than you are burning is to cut down on cardio. And I've had several personal trainers tell me to take BCAA's before my speed skating practices since they are so long and gruelling. On another note, I am also cutting right now but I don't take BCAA's, however I am very mesomorphic anyway and I also take liver tablets. So I'm sure it's more important for some than others to take the BCAA's but it's really not CRITICAL. Glutamine is more important. Hope this helps. :)
