Help: Signing for Package

Hey bros, I'm sure I'm just over reacting right now (lots going on in my life), but I just got home and had a couple of parcel notices from the post office stating that I had to come in and sign for my international packages... As far as I see it, my options are as follows:

1) Don't pick up package

2) Pick up package and if I get questioned about contents deny. (Heck, I thought it was something from a friend of mine)

Any advice would be appreciated.... (Actually, I'm just hoping you guys will confirm the fact that I'm just worried about nothing...)

The signing thing is way overstated, it really doesnt matter too much to the law, if your innocent and have no knowledge of anything youd still sign the package to see what someone sent you. Its more like one more nail in the coffin, its not like if you were targetted (highly doubtful) theyd go home if you didnt sign it.

I've signed MANY times. Actually almost every time. As Slopain stated it's very overrated on how important it is not to sign. Not signing a package is going to look more suspicious. Just think about it for a second. Who the hell wouldn't sign for a package under normal conditions???

I sign for sh*t all the time, so I'm not so worried about the admission of guilt by signing. Ok, you're right... My mom said she was sending me a sweater and a scarf and I thought that these where them... Sounds good to me...

I know I'm a little paranoid. But the truth is, I thought it was the rules not to ever sign. Guess I was wrong. Luckily, I've never lost a package due to refusal to sign.

I don't mind the sighning part. It's the come to the post office part. Why don't they deliver it to your house ?

They will deliver it to my house, but I have to be there to sign for it. Difficult considering I'm at work during the day and they checked the "You or your agent must be present at time of delivery to sign for item" box...

Doesn't have my name on it...

If you're name is not on the box, why should they ask you to sign? When I order something from over the boarder (I mean just everything I will have to sign for it! Nobody else have the possibility to sign, the name on the box have to sign!

Ahhhh, now it all makes sense... It's because in the name section it just list current resident... BINGO! Thanks guys... Through this process of elimination I now understand why they are having me sign for this package...and feel much better about it... :)

Oh well... Off to pick up this package...

sign illegibly,, who cares. you just happened to get something to your house ,, how did you know what was in there.. couldve been for your roomates or a family member... tell you what. reroute it to my house and i'll sign for it? we'll split what evers in there..
