I am about 200lbs and am 14%bf and would like to get down to the 10-12% range. I also don't want to lose too much muscle mass while doing this, but am not sure about my current diet. I feel leaner, but the scales do not show it. I am trying a high protein, mod carb, mod fat diet. Here is my Protein/Carb/Fat intake for one day:

Protein = 300g Carb = 115g Fat = 125g

My carbs come mostly early and 45g comes post-workout in the mornings. I lift in the AM and do cardio in the PM. I am concerned the fat or carbs may be too high, but I want to ensure that I have energy and stamina as not to lose muscle mass. I have only been on the diet for a little over a week and I just wanted to see if you guys thought I was on the right track. Please understand that I am not trying to do this within a month, but I do want to do it right. Thanks for all your help, and lots of karma for you!!!!!!

I think you might want to cut down the fat just a little bit. Since your consuming over 100g of carbs a day. you don't need that much fat for energy.

Thanks a lot for the help guys. I'll up the protein some and try to cut out on the fat. What kind of milk do you guys recommend for your shakes? That's where a lot of my carbs come from as well. Big time karma heading you guys' way!!!!

NO MILK-it will cause fat gain

Milk will not cause fat gain. Excessive calories cause fat gain. When cutting most bber's don't choose milk because of the carbs.

Thanks again for the help...I think I can tweek the diet a little as to cut a little more fat as well as some carbs. I have a cheat day every Sunday so I can carb up for the upcoming week and to reward myself a little. I actually got on the scales today and I have lost 3lbs in about a week, so hopefully it was fat and water and not muscle!!
