i know its off subject, but can someone tell me if theres a way to convert a pic from jpeg to gif or whatever i have to change it to get it to post in my avatar. keeps saying its wrong format

Do you have Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator, if so then you can just choose 'Save As' in the file menu and save the .jpeg as any number of different file formats including .gif.

You need to go to Tools --> Internet Options and click on Delete Files to Delete your Temporary Internet Files. Then click refresh.
