help i need vacation ideas

hey everyone, in a couple of weeks i am going to be able to pick anywhere to travel to in the upper U.S.. Anyone know of any events, celebrations going on that are worth checking out in person. Im from CT and i know they are people from all around on this board, so lets hear what your state has to offer.
