Help - Constipation

Man, I´ve been having trouble getting bowel movements... and it´s been getting worse lately.

Before, I was able to go to the bathroom every morning after waking up. Right now, I´m struggling more, I can go once like every two days. I´d really like to know what´s going on.

I guess I have plenty of fiber, I have like 150 grams carbs everyday and there´s plenty of fiber there (beans, oats, fruit)

What else can I do to make my GI tract more efficient??

I get bloated due to not getting enough bowel movements either.. and it sucks!

Any help would be appreciated

PS - I´m all natural, no steroids, or anything
 
I drink lots of water mate...

As far as fiber supplements, what kind do you recommend, and at what dosages, at what times as well?

Not sure what brand I use. I don't have it with me. I think I just bought it at GNC. I followed the directions on the bottle and within a day, I was back to normal.

seriously, let us know what that supplement is. I'm curious. I'm not getting enough fiber on this CKD.

I'll post it tomorrow. Like I said, I think it's GNC brand. Not 100% sure though. When I first went on CKD, I didn't poop for the first 4 days. The morning after I took the supplement, I was back on the horse, so to speak.
 
benefiber works great for me. lax are from hell.
 
I used to have big constipations problems but it wasnt constipation, it was digestive reflux. I could eat a meal now and after 10hours I would still burping the meal
 
Get a probiotic. With help ease digestive track problems. I had same problem. I was taking 50 grams of fiber a day 3-4 gallons of water and still nothing. you may be lacking magnesium try taking 500 mgs with each your meals and see if that releases ya. You have have irritable bowel sydrome. and cn not relax to take a shit. think of some thing pleasant and try relaxing muscles rather then tensing them
 
I think you got it right on the money, hardasnails73.

I´ve been kinda stressed lately, exams, and a bit of emotional stress as well, I know this, although I don´t "feel" the stress at all (but I must have it!). The last couple days I´ve tried relaxing but things didn´t get any better, if not worse.

I have been taking probiotics as well, maybe not enough?? (maybe magnesium, I´ve read about it too - that´s a supplement I don´t take)

What kind of probiotic are you taking, and how much, at what times.. etc

your simple answer is Flax seed...not the oil but seed.

grind it up in a coffee grinder and take a half cup...you get your efas and fiber. it has about 240 cal.

try a few days of eating only soft foods....no meats! lots of shakes and lots of water. also add your fiber supplement.

here are some things that have worked for me...
try this combo
1. large starbucks coffee
2.kodiac ice dip (tabacco)
3 grams of NAC every hour (start with 1st dose before coffee then with coffee then right before you pack your lip....bring a cup to spit in on the toilet cause you will be shitting when the nicotine hits you

I start using a medicine called Omezolan and I start pooping in 2 days regularly... You were complaining that u were not pooping for 2 days but I wasnt pooping for 5 days!!! yeah, if your eating lots of protein you need lots of fiber( oats, psyllium husk, etc) digestive enzymes are a must for high protein or when even eating a large amount of food.
you need to train your body to do this, and it will.
 
2 years on a low carb diet and I never once had constipation. 2 weeks on the Zone and I can't pop a turd without wanting to scream. WTF Gives?
 
SIMPLE ANSWER I GARANTEE THIS IS ALL YOU NEED.

SUNKIST WHOLE PITTED PRUNES.

THATS IT.. Just take as many as needed before bed. I cant take no more than 4 or 5. They dont taste that bad either.
